Episode 06 - El Angel Caído (the fallen angel)

Episode 6 opens with a breakfast scene. We meet mother, father and son. Like usual these must be the characters of the day. The family gets along well and they seem happy.
The father takes his son to school and we see the mother going to the basement holding a breakfast tray and a gun. They have kidnapped a woman!


At Cristobal's office, Isabel insists that La Colombiana escaped from him not her, Cristobal says she'll be the only one to get the blame. Isabel says she'll tell everyone the truth, Teresa and the government and then will quit.



Cristobal: In my opinion, and the media, la Colombiana is outside of Capadocia because of you, I'm not even in Mexico! and I can prove it.
Isabel: I've never been involved in any corruption scheme, I shouldn't have fallen on your threats but i'll make sure you'll fall with me.
Cristobal: Are you threatning me?
Isabel: No, I'm telling you what's going to happen. We will find la Colombiana.
Cristobal: I remind you that all you did, you did to save your father. And now i see you here all brave talking about cleaning your name, but let me remind you again that your father is not as pure as you. The General killed an innocent and he's going to pay. In prison.
Isabel: It wasn't an innocent.
Cristobal: No? Then surely i must have misunderstood everything. And all the proofs i was given. Let's see there was a trial and your father executed someone by death penalty. But in Mexico we don't have death penalty. How rare, huh? If he goes to trial he will be given max sentence. How old is he? 60, 70? He'll die in prison. Your father, General Clave. The pride of Mexico's army. You and Federico will say la Colombiana was taken to the hospital.

Isabel cries and leaves.
Isabel cries??
Isabel cries. Well her eyes just get a little wet is not proper crying.


At Capadocia Jose and Teresa already "know" la Colombiana was "taken to the hospital" and Bambi is at solitary. And then begins a whole spiral of bribing and lying. Teresa wants to call the hospital to know how she is. And visit her. Federico makes sure all the doctors and nurses comply on the lie, they fake a surgery and pretend she's dying from a very sudden disease, what was yesterday a perfectly healthy woman. But hey, it's working.

Isabel visits Bambi to tell her about la Colombiana.
Isabel: I came to tell you about la Colombiana. She's ok. She's going through surgery but she'll be fine.
Bambi: Oh really? And you come here on purpose to tell me that? And think i will believe it?





Bambi moves towards Isabel and they get closer, but not in a good way.




Bambi: What are you doing to my woman? Where is she?
Isabel: You're going to shut up. If you say that again before me or anyone ... you will not finish it. Is that clear?

Back at the family's basement the woman is talking to the girl and feeding her, she seems to mean no harm. She assures her she'll be release soon and asks her if she slept well.
If I'm ever kidnapped I want this woman to take care of me.
They're doing it for the money only.


La Colombiana is out, free, and shopping! (lol) What do you do when you run away from prison? You go shopping.



She's buying necklaces at $125 and earrings at $225, because "they're all so beautiful".
It didn't seem like a very expensive jewelry store. I think she was ripped off.

Federico is still at the hospital doing everything to find la Colombiana.

Back to Antonia, remember Antonia / Antonio, the transsexual.
Even though she's a woman in our eyes, she's not on paper. Antonia was sent to a male prison.
They cut her hair short in a very sad/depressing/revolting scene.
Again the music helps a lot. Kany Garcia - A donde fue Cecilia.









Security guy is amazed. "you're a woman".
I think we all know what's going to happen inside this prison.

Back to shopping, la Colombiana finds her picture all-over a lingerie store. They've been using her image without her knowledge. But that doesn't seem to bother her. She just wants to buy everything.

If she's so happy for seeing herself, imagine how happy we are!



At Isabel's scary room, Jose asks her if she was there when they took la Colombiana to the hospital, she says she was. Jose, as always, suspects something isn't right.



Isabel isn't the best of liars. But somehow they managed to fake, in video, the moment when the medical teams arrive at Capadocia and leave to the hospital. My money is on Federico.


Cristobal is playing mini golf at a terrace and blaming everyone but him for la Colombiana's escape. At Capadocia a priest talks to Teresa about the importance of knowing more names behind the cocaine operation. He offers to talk to the nun.

La Colombiana calls one of her old drug acquaintances, she asks for his help. He agrees. She insists he doesn't tell anyone, he says "never my queen, never". Let's see.

The priest gets nothing out of the nun.
Jose talks to Bambi, Isabel told him she was crazy and accusing them of taking la Colombiana on purpose everynight. Jose asks Bambi why she thinks that. Isabel watches from her office.
Bambi attacks Jose but security quickly intervenes and she's shown the taser, but this time Isabel isn't the one with it so she doesn't get it.
Jose tells Teresa he believes Bambi. Teresa believes Isabel wouldn't allow that.
"I don't like her or her methods but I think her honor and values are untouchable".
She's a good liar afterall.

At the basement husband and wife go feed the hostage. The wife acts all nice again but the husband says she shouldn't and slaps the girl when she speaks.

At the male prison Antonia is litteraly thrown to the wolves. A cell packed with 3 horny guys.

Gerardo, Antonia's ex-fiance is shown drunk and having fun with a group of women.

Jose and Teresa go talk to Antonia. Antonia wants to be transfered to Capadocia, the female prison.
We learn Antonia is in prison because she stole money to performe the sex-change surgery.

Antonia: what i earned wasn't enough to match the outside with what i am inside, I couldn't take it anymore.
Teresa: Yes but, that is fraud. Didn't you think about it?

Jose: Tell me about these last 2 years. What's your life been like after the change?
Antonia: That's what it has been ... a life. The life. What I had was no more that carrying a body that wasn't mine. The first thing I did when i left the hospital was lose my virginity. And i enjoyed it. How I enjoyed it! To feel my female body. I dedicated my life on being pretty. Met the love of my life. Stole some panties. And lost everything. And here you have my 2 years.
Please, you have to help me. Get me out of here. This is no place for a woman. Please get me out.

Then she takes her clothes off. So they see the woman she is.

Teresa knows the director and talks to him. He mentions the overload of inmates they have, Antonia cannot be alone on a cell. She mentions the danger she's in. He reminds her she's officially a man. Teresa mentions the singular cells for white collar crimes, he says they don't have them there. She suggests a visit from her human rights friends. He promises to keep an eye on Antonia and personal security.

Gerardo is drunk and crying.

Isabel talks to her father. General Clave killed a man that assaulted Isabel, we see some pictures of her all bruised. The judge didn't accuse the man (Ariel) so her father killed him. That's the story behind all this. Her father says she shouldn't take the blame for something he did. Isabel knows he did it for her and accepts it.
Cristobal knows all about it and has witnesses, videos, pictures and basically knows everyone and everything.
That's why Isabel does everything he says.

Teresa talks to the supreme court judge, the father of the girl Lorena killed. They exchange some threats and she says she's going to appeal and do everything she can for Lorena.

La Colombiana gets a taxi and meets with her old friend at a very dodgy neighbourhood (at night), she doesn't want the taxi driver to wait for her but he does. At the very last second she sees a hidden car and realises she was stitched up. She runs back to the taxi.
High speed chase, etc, another taxi joins the scene and they lose them. Cristobal and Federico get the bad news.
The taxi driver is now driving though some very scary streets, stops the taxi and makes a move on Colombiana. She's not interested but he still tries to have his way with her. She attacks him, steals his wallet, looks around and has no idea where she is.

At the hospital Jose is told la Colombiana is still in surgery. They say she had a bad reaction to the anesthesia probably caused by the use of drugs.
La Colombiana comes across a group of people but soon realises they are not better than the taxi driver and runs.
She hides in an old abandoned house, she is scared and calls Cristobal. Asks for forgiveness and begs him to go pick her up.
The people she came across were taxi driver's friends and they all gather to find her.

Daniel can't have his way with Teresa so he turns to her older daughter Andrea-the-problem-child. She is more than happy and I think he's just being revengeful.

Cristobal's men find la Colombiana and she's taken to him. She begs him to get her out of Capadocia and says she's sorry.



What does she get? A punch in the stomach and back to Capadocia.



Cristobal: What a shame. You were my favourite toy. Take her.


Lorena's mother visits her at Capadocia.
Mother: Are you ok?
Lorena: I'm stuck here, my life is over and my own sons don't recognize me. Other than that everything is fine mummy.
Mother: Don't let this place change you.
Lorena: If it doesn't change me it will kill me. Which do you prefer?

Guess who really had to go to the hospital? La Colombiana. She's now laying in a hospital bed, pretending a post-surgery situation.

Jose is next to her.
Jose: Are you feeling better? Tell me how you got here?
She tells the same story Isabel did.

When she was running from the taxi driver she sprained her ankle. Jose notices and asks if that's from before or after surgery. She becomes evasive and says she doesn't remember and is very tired.

Jose: If someone is abusing you, you can tell me.
La Colombiana: I'm fine. Tired but fine.

Mother and son arrive home. The kid hears some grunty noises coming from the basement. The mother goes after him and sees her husband and hostage in the act. They are lovers. And were faking the kidnap. But she's a smart woman and won't take the blame for it. Goes home, takes all the money they made from previous kidnappings, makes a phone call, turns them to the police and escapes with her son.

Teresa gets the court to reopen Lorena's case.

The police arrive with the hostage's husband (Juan) who was fooled by her. At first they think it's real but the man (kidnapper) admits on the spot that it was all staged and she said her husband (Juan) was dumb and would pay anything to have her back.
They both get arrested.

La Colombiana is transfered to Capadocia and Bambi is allowed to visit her.
I really believe Bambi loves this woman. In her own very sick special way.

Bambi: My queen, I'm here with you now my love.
La Colombiana: You'll take care of me right?



She probably knows Bambi is the only one who's had honest feelings towars her lately. Even if a little sicko, they're honest. Right now that's what she needs.

And that's the end of episode 6.
